Port filmmaker documents remarkable Mars mission

The Newburyport filmmaker has produced “Martian Mega Rover” about the flight of the Curiosity, which landed early Monday on the red planet.

His documentary airs tomorrow night at 9 on the National Geographic Channel, and will focus on the human elements of the NASA mission of Curiosity.

The rover is currently operating without incident on Mars, in one of the most complex missions that the National Aeronautics and Space Administration has undertaken, space veterans say.
