Sarah Attar became the first woman to compete in Olympic track and field for Saudi Arabia Wednesday, finishing her 800-meter heat more than 40 seconds behind the lead runners but to a roar of applause from spectators in London.
Wearing a white headscarf, green zipped jacket and black leggings, Attar, 19, finished the race in 2 minutes and 44.95 seconds, the last of eight runners in her heat.
